1. God is Sovereign: futility of self-reliance
- He gives to his beloved even in his sleep.
- "Vain" - 3x used in the chapter
- When things are done without God, it is vanity.
2. It doesn't eliminate human responsibity.
- Trusting God doesn't being idle.
v. I Cor. 10:31 - do everything for the glory of God
3. It eliminates worry and anxiety.
v. Luke 12:25-26
- Worry is opposite of faith.
