* All three are Christ's role. Therefore, the long-awaited Messiah.
* Scriptures Main Theme:
- Jesus as the Messiah and only begotten Son of God that saved us from the penalty of sin.

Paul's Zealousness to Preach
Christian: not to hold back of his faith
Story: new eyes like new Christian's birth

* Consider likely responses and how are we to respond to them.

- e.g. having husbands
- pain and sorrow when people are burdened
7. stick to the issue
- don't let it sidetrack
- legitimate but will let you sidetrack
- knowing who Jesus is
- e.g. where to worship

7. Perseverance in the midst of persecution and suffering

* Paul traveled Arabia, Damascus, and Jerusalem in the period of 3 years.
* Paul suffered...
a. persecution of unbelievers
b. rejection of fellow believers. v. 26
* God saves the most unlikely people.
- even those who openly oppose God and persecute his people.
- Interesting: the type of people that God saves
* "Martus"= witness -->martyr
- persecuted caused by his testimony
* Setting: people to proclaim "Ceasar as the lord" once a year
- charged of disloyalty

Why Suffering and Persecution are Inevitable. v. Jn. 15:19

1. hold on to the truth and teaching of the Gospel

Does God perform miracles today?
- M. » extraordinary wonders that is wrought by God and hard to explain

- Miracles still do happen today, but do not use human agents. More were Acts of Providence.

Acts of Providence
- reveals God's Sovereign control in our everyday lives
- answers in prayer
- examples:
a. Finances
b. LRT
c. Seeing a longtime friend that needs our advices just at the right time.

False Miracles
- will be used by the AntiChrist in the end times. v. Mt. 24:24
- Be warned.
- partial and temporary

Brief Periods of Miracles
- Biblical Miracles: complete & instant
1. Moses and Joshua
2. Elijah and Elisha
3. Jesus and the Apostles
- authenticated signs nevet done before
4. Isolated Wonders?

Why Perform Miracles?
1. Introduce New Eras of Revolution
a. Pentateuch
b. Prophetic Age
c. wrote all New Testaments
2. Authenticated Messengers of the Revelation
3. Hold attention to new Revelation
* Had an Instructive Purpose not merely Exhibition
